Stuart Little (Remake) Logline: Hybrid live-action/animation take in the vein of John Hughes, following the escapades of the titular mouse and his adopted family, the Littles. Studio/Distributor(s): Sony Pictures Production Company(s): Red Wagon Entertainment Producer(s): Douglas Wick, Lucy FIsher Details: Based on the classic children’s novel Stuart Little, written by E. B. White in 1945. Serves as a remake of the 1999 Sony adaptation, which featured Geena Davis and Michael J. Fox as Stuart. SSN Insight: The 1999 adaptation was a critical and financial success earning a sequel in 2002 and a fully animated third film in 2005. The success of the franchise led to a short-lived animated series.

Action Movie Kid Logline: Kept under wraps, but pitched in the vein of Night At The Museum, following a youngster who can see and interact with an imaginative world he inhabits, though invisible to the rest of us. Studio/Distributor(s): Fox 2000 Production Company(s): Temple Hill Ent. Producer(s): Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey Details: Based on the hugely successful webseries Action Movie Kid, created by Daniel Hashimoto. SSN Insight: The 2014 Streamy award-winning webseries features Hashimoto’s son James playing in different situations, which Hashimoto then adds lavish visual effects to make it appear as though his son is in a spaceship, fighting giant robots, or saving the world.

Tower of Terror Logline: Kept under wraps, but pitched as a Tim Burton-esque take with supernatural elements about a group of hotel guests disappearing from an elevator. Studio/Distributor(s): Walt Disney Pictures Production Company(s): Whitaker Ent. Producer(s): Jim Whitaker Writer(s): John August (outline) Details: Inspired by the famed Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror attraction. The story was adapted into a TV movie in 1997, starring Kirsten Dunst and shot onsite at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and holds the title for being the first film based on a Disney ride. SSN Insight: Though August isn’t penning the script, his outline will serve as the basis for the feature. There were rumors in 2009 of the project taking shape at Disney but nothing was previously confirmed.

Black Money Logline: Focuses on MacDonald’s private eye protagonist Lew Archer. Hired by a spurned lover to expose the suave Frenchman who has run off with his client’s girlfriend, Archer follows a trail that leads to a deep conspiracy as the mysterious paramour is connected to a seven-year-old suicide and a ton of gambling debts. Annabelle Hooper and the Ghosts of Nantucket Logline: After stumbling upon a potential ghost hunting in her family’s Nantucket vacation home, she enlist the help of her older brother Jake and friend Maddi to explore the world of the paranormal in an effort to find the truth behind the Caulfield House’s “White Widow.” Studio/Distributor(s): MarVista Entertainment Producer(s): Bailee Madison, Amy Baker, Kim Dawson Director(s): Paul Serafini Cast: Bailee Madison, Robert Capron SSN Insight: At just 15 years old, this project marks Madison’s first film as a producer.
