Rogue Nation scored $29.4 million in its second weekend to take the top spot, while Fox’s much maligned comic book adaptation bombed with just $26.2 million to finish second. Joel Edgerton’s directorial debut,

While they are being hunted by an organization out to do them harm, these eight must quickly adapt to this new ability and to each other. The new season should premiere in 2016.

There was no last-minute miracle for show, as the network and the director were not able to reach a compromise on the size of the budget for the conspiracy thriller series. As a result, the cast, which included Rooney Mara, Colm Feore, Eric McCormack, Dallas Roberts, Jason Ritter, Brandon Scott and Agyness Deyn, has been released. They had been rehearsing for a month with Fincher and writer Gillian Flynn while budget negotiations were unraveling.

Colbert Report host, who will take over for David Letterman on September 8th, has announced that George Clooney will be his very first guest when he debuts on CBS at 11:35 pm that night. Colbert made the announcement about Clooney via Twitter, and asked his followers, “Could one of you let him know?”

No details on who Murray will play or what we’ll do in the new film, which stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Andy Garcia and Chris Hemsworth, but like original movie co-star Dan Akyroyd, it’ll be probably be a small cameo. Originally scheduled to hit theaters July 22nd, 2016, the movie has now been moved up a week, to the 15th.

Commercials helmer Bruno Aveillan will make his feature film debut helming the project, which has a recently completed screenplay from writer-director of the first film, Tommy Wirkola. The new film, which is hoping to find a spot in star Jeremy Renner’s busy schedule, will also co-star Gemma Arterton, who appeared with Renner in the surprise 2013 sleeper hit.

Robin Hood: Origins project from writer Joby Harold, who also penned next summer’s Knights of the Round Table:
King Arthur film for director Guy Ritchie. Otto Bathurst will be directing this incarnation (there are no less than three others in development around town), and negotiations between the studio and Egerton have just started.
