A federal court has upheld the Occupational Safety and Health Administration safety violations and fine levied against production company Film Allman, LLC, which was set up by director/producer/co-writer Randall Miller and producer/co-writer Jody Savin to film the Gregg Allman biopic. Their actions led to the death of the 27-year-old camera assistant and injury to five others on Feb. 20th, 2014 as they filmed without permission and ignoring safety procedures. (DH)
Larry Wilmore Fans Rejoice! Comedy Central Gives ‘The Nightly Show’ a Second Season
As the network prepares for the changing of the Daily Show hosting guard, it will keep things the same in the post-Daily Show slot for at least another year, renewing The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore through the end of 2016. The late-night talk show — which features the former Daily Show contributor taking on various cultural, political and social issues while lording over a panel of guests — premiered back in January. Director is reportedly working alongside Scott Silver on a script for the previously untitled project, now called Pure Evel, and will then direct the finished product. Tatum, who will play Kneivel, has been trying to get this film off the ground for years. (VUL)

Today In Reboot News: Sony Is Taking Another Crack At ‘Charlie’s Angels’
Elizabeth Banks, who made her directorial debut with this summer’s Pitch Perfect 2, is directing and producing the project, which comes 12 years after the last go round. Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, starring Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu, came out in 2003. Now, Banks and the studio are looking for a writer to bring a new take. No cast is yet attached. Reboot News, Continued: NBC Is Developing a Gay Couple Remake Of ‘Hart To Hart’
The project hails from Carol Mendelsohn and Sony TV, and is based on the ABC series that ran from 1979-1984 and starred Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers. Christopher Fife is on board to write, and will executive produce with Mendelsohn and Julie Weitz. New show focuses on “by the book” attorney Jonathan Hart and free-spirited investigator Dan Hartman, who must balance the two sides of their life: action-packed crime-solving and newly found domesticity. ‘Bourne 5’ Cast Continues To Grow, Adds ‘Django Unchained’ Veteran To the Proceedings
Ato Essandoh, one of the actors in Martin Scorsese’s upcoming 1970s HBO drama Vinyl, has joined the cast of Universal’s newest Bourne movie. Matt Damon is back on board the spy thriller as is director Paul Greengrass. Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Tommy Lee Jones are among the new additions to the studio’s lucrative franchise. Julia Stiles, who appeared in the previous Damon Bourne movies, is also returning. (HV)
