CAA: Vine star Liza Koshy has signed with CAA for representation in all areas including digital distribution and partnerships, film, television, endorsements, personal appearances and print publishing. The comedian first came to prominence on social video app Vine, where she has over 3.4 million followers. The fluent Spanish speaker and dancer has participated in campaigns for Dunkin’ Donuts, Hewlett-Packard and Aeropostale, collaborated with musician Meghan Trainor, and hosted a digital event in connection with MTV’s Video Music Awards.
UTA: Emirati director Majid Al-Ansari has signed with UTA. His debut feature, Rattle The Cage, has been picked up by IM Global for international sales with Cinetic Media repping domestic rights. The psychological thriller film, fully financed by Image Nation will premiere at Fantastic Fest in Austin, later this month and have its European premiere at the upcoming BFI London Film Festival in October.
WME: Director Marc Forster has signed with WME. He’s best known for directing his breakthrough feature, Monster’s Ball as well as Finding Neverland, World War Z and Quantum of Solace. He recently wrapped the Black Lively starrer All I See is You. He also executive produces the Amazon series, Hand of God, along with directing two episodes.
CAA: YouTube parenting brand, What’s Up Moms has signed with the agency with the goal to create opportunities in all areas including business development, licensing, television, personal appearances, publishing and endorsements. The brand has also hired digital media strategist Liane Mullin as their President and COO. What’s Up Moms recently won the Kids and Family Streamy Award, with co-founders Elle Walker and Meg Resnikoff and partner Brooke Mahan accepting the award.
Brio Entertainment: Actor Nat Zang has signed with Brio Ent. for all representation. The teenage currently is a series regular on the SyFy horror-comedy, Z Nation. It is currently in its second season.
CAA: Fox News Channel anchor Megyn Kelly has just signed with the agency. She currently anchors the show The Kelly File, the number two rated cable news program. She has the goal to expand into other areas which includes producing a project with Kevin Spacey called The Residence, a scripted White House series based on the book by Kate Andersen Brower.
UTA: Actress Jaz Sinclair has signed with the agency. She made her debut on HBO’s Masterclass with other credits that include NBC’s Revolution, and TNT’s Rizzoli & Isles and will be seen in When the Bough Breaks alongside Regina Hall. She is also repped by Creative Partners Group and Hirsch Wallerstein Hayum Matlof and Fishman.
