CAA: Key & Peele co-creator and co-star Jordan Peele will now be repped by CAA. Following the final episodes of his series that ran for five seasons he will next be seen alongside Key & Peele co-star Keegan-Michael Key in their New Line movie Keanu to be released April 22. Next up he’ll direct a horror film, Get Out. He’s also producing Substitute Teacher at Paramount along with Keegan-Michael Key, based on their series’ skits among other projects. On the TV side, the duo has sold a single-camera undercover cop comedy to Fox. Peele is also producing Weird City at Hulu and the animated series Van & Mike at Comedy Central.
Paradigm: Filmmaker Tom Shadyac has shifted from WME to Paradigm. He previously directed blockbusters Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, and The Nutty Professor, Liar Liar, Patch Adams and Bruce Almighty. He also exec produced the ABC hit sitcom 8 Simple Rules. He also wrote, directed and was the center of the2011 documentary I Am, which explored what happened to the filmmaker after a cycling accident. After recovering he embarked upon a journey to discover how he as an individual, and we as a race, can improve the way we live.
Abrams Artists Agency: Actress JoJo Kushner will now be repped by Abrams Artists Agency in all theatrical areas including TV, film and stage. The six-year-old debuted in Nancy Meyers’ comedy The Intern and landed a spot on Entertainment Weekly’s “12 Under 12: The Best Child Actors of 2015” list. She started her acting career with a 2014 commercial for Chanel No. 5. She continues to be managed by Marianne Leone at Terrific Talent and Associates.
WME: Actor O’Shea Jackson Jr. has shifted from UTA to WME. He made his feature film acting debut playing his real-life father, Ice Cube, in the hit Straight Outta Compton. Previous to acting he was a production assistant on the Sony film Are We Done Yet? starring Ice Cube. He will continue to be repped by The Firm and Cube Vision.
Untitled Entertainment: Youtuber and actress Lisa Schwartz has signed with Untitled Entertainment. She currently has over 1.6 million subscribers on her YouTube channel lisbug, over 900,000 followers combined via Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Her incredibly popular video “Miley Cyrus – Wrecking Ball Parody” accumulated around 6 million views in less than a year. She was also featured in an episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and has appeared on Atom Tv and Comedy Central’s Tosh.0.
