A Darker Shade Of Magic

Logline: The book is set in four parallel worlds, with four parallel Londons ruled by different magical powers and monarchies. Details: Based on the novel of the same name by V.E. Schwab.
SSN Insight: The project is being developed as a limited series. Schwab also wrote Vicious, which is set up at Story Mining with Scott Free producing.

A Discovery of Witches

Details: Based on the novel, “A Discovery of Witches,” which is the first installment of the All Souls Trilogy. It was written by Deborah Harkness and published by Viking on February 8, 2011.
SSN Insight: Series in development. A network has not been signed on. The project is also in development as a feature at Warner Bros. Pictures.

Battle Ready

Logline: Battle Ready tells the story of retired Navy SEAL Mark L. The series will focus on Donald’s time in both Iraq and Afghanistan and the extensive, often clandestine combat missions he was engaged in.

Details: Based on the film, “Cruel Intentions,” (1999), written and directed by Roger Kumble and starring Ryan Phillippe, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Reese Witherspoon. The original source material for the 1999 film was the novel, “Les Liaisons Dangereuses,” written by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, and published in 1782.
SSN Insight: NBC initially committed to a script plus penalty in October. A pilot order has been given and Sarah Michelle Geller has been approached to reprise her role.
