‘Daddy’s Home’….Again- Will Ferrell & Mark Wahlberg to Re-team on Sequel for Paramount

Paramount Pictures and Gary Sanchez Productions have set a sequel to Daddy’s Home, the crowd pleasing comedy which opened last Christmas and turned in a $240 million worldwide gross. Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg have signed to reprise their mismatched buddy characters. (DL)

Amazon Prime Video is now the Home for Broad Green Pictures in Multi-Year Deal

Broad Green Pictures and Amazon have inked a a multi-year output deal which will make Prime Video the exclusive premium subscription home for Broad Green’s upcoming film slate. Among the first up will be comedy adventure A Walk in the Woods starring Robert Redford, Nick Nolte and Emma Thompson. (DL)

‘Masters of None’? Try Masters of the Peabody’s as Netflix Picks Up Three Awards from the Annual Program

Netflix is the home of three of the 11 programs selected for the awards presented annually by the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. The winners were announced Friday morning on NBC’s Today. (LAT)

It’s Back to the Beach for Pamela Anderson as She Returns to ‘Baywatch’, Although not as C.J. Parker

Pamela Anderson will appear in the “Baywatch” film revival. The actress and model became a household name starring as C.J. Parker on the original iconic television series. Dwayne Johnson had this to say, “A pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our #Baywatch cast. We couldn’t have made this movie without you. Welcome home.” (VAR)

Apple Hits a Wall as China Bars iTunes from the Country Due to New Regulations

Apple’s iTunes Movies and iBooks service were barred in China last week, less than seven months after they began operations. The Silicon Valley company is now facing a regulatory push against its services in China that could signal its good relations in the country may be turning. (NYT)

A 3 Hour GMA? Possible as Kelly Ripa Could Lose Her ‘Live’ Timeslot In Addition to Her Co-Host

Kelly Ripa is losing her Live with Kelly and Michael co-host Michael Strahan this summer. But will she also lose her show’s prime 9am time slot at some point as well? A source at GMA predicts a third hour could bring in an additional $25 million to $50 million in revenue each year while adding little cost to the show’s budget. (VAR)
