SSN Insight: Project marks the re-collaboration for author Ann Brashares and Alcon Entertainment and Alloy Entertainment since the “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” and “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2”.

The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara Logline: The true story of an Italian Jew who was taken from his parents at age seven in 1858 by Papal authorities, raised Catholic, and eventually become a priest. Studio/Distributors: DreamWorks Studios, The Weinstein Company Producers:  Steven Spielberg, Harvey Weinstein, Bob Weinstein Writer:  Tony Kushner Director: Steven Spielberg (in discussions) Details: Based on the novel "The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara" written by David Kertzer and published by Alfred Knopf in 1997. SSN Insight: Project reunited Steven Spielberg with Tony Kushner. Together the two have earned Oscar nominations for their previous historical dramas “Munich” and “Lincoln”.
