Aperture Media Partners: Jared Underwood and
Andrew Robinson have launched a new film financing company,
Aperture Media Partners. The Los Angeles based firm will serve as a one-stop financing option for filmmakers. They are backed by New York Private Bank. The company seeks to finance between 15 and 20 films per year.
Chapter Eleven: Kyle Killen has launched a new development shingle,
Chapter Eleven. Scott Pennington is also joining him and will head up the venture. Chapter Eleven has launched with a first-look deal with Paramount Television and Anonymous Content. Paramount TV and Anonymous Content will have first-look rights to develop and distribute Chapter Eleven projects.
Clone Wolf Productions: Adam Pally has launched a new production shingle,
Clone Wolf Productions. Pally launches the television production company with a two-year, overall deal with ABC Studios. Under the pact, Pally will develop and produce content for broadcast, cable and new media.
Zag Animation Studios: 1492's
Chris Columbus and
Michael Barnathan have partnered with
Haim Saban and
Jeremy Zag to launch a new feature animation studio,
Zag Animation Studios. The company seeks to release one CGI-live action hybrid film and one 3D animated film each year. The Saban Group will handle all international marketing and distribution and Saban Brands will coordinate licensing and merchandising for Zag Animation properties worldwide.
