Luther has optioned Marc Olden’s historic thriller
Poe Must Die as a trilogy through his Green Door Production Co. The book was originally written in 1978, takes place in 1840s New York with Poe fighting both demonic forces and his personal demons.

Twin Peaks cinematographer Frank Byers will be directing an update of the film from a script by Franc. Reyes. Coming from Studiocanal, it’s said to “present a fresh take on the story that aims to reflect what’s happening in today’s political climate.”
