After the top executive spent 15 years in the studio's top creative role, Hollywood is abuzz with speculation about who might get the vacant job. The two most obvious candidates are Jeff Robinov and Tom Rothman, both former studio heads at Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox, respectively, but there is scuttlebutt that neither was tipped off about Pascal’s move. There are also others from inside the company who could be elevated.

Simultaneously, a surge in crime, violence and urban decay plagued the Big Apple, making for a perfect thematic pairing for the Oscar-nominated director's new, extended venture.

Two weeks after its successful Sundance premiere, the Allison Brie-Jason Sudeikis flick went for above seven figures to the company behind
Boyhood, with a commitment for a seven figure P&A. Leslye Headland directed from her own script, with Sudeikis portraying a womanizer and Brie a serial cheater. The characters first meet in college, then rekindle their relationship when they run into each other more than a decade later at a sex addicts meeting.
