Joel Kinnaman is in early talks to take over the role of Rick Flagg, previously to be played by Hardy. Jake Gyllenhaal, Joel Egerton and Jon Bernthal were previously rumored as possible replacements for the part in the comic book movie ensemble flick. The latter are apparently still possibilities, but for right now, Kinnaman is the frontrunner. David Ayers is directing the film, which stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has confirmed in a company earnings call that the long-planned cinematic adaptation of the popular
gaming series will indeed hit cinema screens on December 21st, 2016. Moreover, it has officially started production. The parkour-fuelled historical killing spree is directed by Justin Kurzel, and will star Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard.

While no actor has been named to play the Russian immigrant who turns his body into unbreakable metal, it might be Daniel Cudmore, who played the part in several
