It’s all about multigenerational comedies at NBC – nearly all of the comedy pilots revolve around parents, kids, grandparents, and siblings all trying to coexist and bridge the age gap. SSN is taking a look at the new crop of 2015 pilots, and this week we’re focusing on NBC. Here’s our take on six of the network’s most promising comedy pilots, and one drama pilot.

Script, from the
Neighbors writing duo Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien, is about a married couple (husband played by Ferrell) who lose their daughter's college fund. They team up with their neighbors to start an illegal casino in their basement to earn back the cash. Cohen will make his directorial debut, while Ferrell and Adam McKay will produce through their Gary Sanchez banner along with Good Universe.

Sound Of Music medley became one of the most talked-about segments of the show, the singer nabs her first major television role in
American Horror Story: Hotel, which will debut on FX in October.

After debuting to great acclaim in last spring’s
Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Mackie’s presence in
Avengers: Age of Ultron had been speculated upon, but never confirmed. Until now. With the release of the first poster, including a credit block at the bottom, his name is firmly on the list, between Cobie Smulders and Hayley Atwell.

Divergent sequel, in which Tris and Four are on the run. Shawnee Woodley, Theo James, Kate Winslet, Miles Teller, Octavia Spencer and Naomi Watts star in the film, which is in theaters March 20th.

The first look at the short film that reintroduces the
Frozen gang to the world. This time, Elsa, Anna, and Olaf return for more shenanigans when Elsa catches an icy cold that wreaks havoc on Anna's birthday celebrations. The new animated short will premiere before the live-action
Cinderella on March 13th.
