TODAY’S HEADLINES
It’s currently unclear how long each episode of the HBO
High Maintenance will be — webisodes ran between 5 and 12 minutes each — or whether the new version will maintain the series' anthologized narrative. The network said that the old
High Maintenance will still be around: the show's first 19 installments, previously available on Vimeo, will eventually go up on HBO Go and HBO Now eventually.

Jonathan Dayton & Valerie Faris will direct the film, called
Battle of the Sexes, will star Emma Stone as King and Steve Carell as Riggs, from a script by Simon Beaufoy. The film is set to go forward in the fall, ahead of HBO and Playtone — which has David Auburn writing for Elizabeth Banks and Paul Giamatti to star — and Chernin Entertainment and Gary Sanchez, which are percolating
Match Maker with Steve Conrad writing and Will Ferrell attached.

The Digital Cinema Distribution Coalition has developed a high-quality live-streaming technology solution that allows the DCDC KenCast catch server to stream live content into an unlimited number of auditoriums from two simultaneous event feeds along with two additional pre-recorded events. That means exhibitors can book up to four events simultaneously to an unlimited number of auditoriums.

Studio has unveiled its master plan for its upcoming Lego movies, staking out release dates for the next three movies in the franchise. The
Lego Batman movie, which at this stage is untitled, will be the first new Lego movie out of the gate and will open Feb. 10, 2017. Also in 2017, on Sept. 22,
Ninjago will hit theaters. Finally,
The Lego Movie Sequel, yes that is the title, will open May 18, 2018. The new date pushes up the movie by a week.

Ben Stiller is already on board as producer-director-star, and he is joined by Owen Wilson, Christine Taylor, Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig and Penelope Cruz, and now it appears Zane will reprise his performance from the first film as … Billy Zane. Justin Theroux wrote the script for the film, which will open February 12th, 2016.

Universal has released the latest full-length trailer for the next installment of the monster franchise. Colin Trevorrow directs the film, which stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Vincent D’Onofrio, BD Wong, Jake Johnson and Judy Greer star. It hits theaters June 12th.
