Ricki and the Flash, directed by Jonathan Demme and starring Meryl Streep and Rick Springfield, opens August 7th.

Josh Radnor, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Gary Cole, and Cherry Jones will be leading the series, alongside Peter Gerety, Norbert Leo Butz, and newcomer Hannah James. Meanwhile, Roxann Dawson and Jeremy Webb have been added to the directing roster. The series follows two volunteer nurses on either side of the Civil War and starts shooting soon. It will premiere in winter of 2016.

Nurse Jackie co-creator Evan Dunsky attached as writer and showrunner. Book takes a behind-the-scenes look at a twenty-something mortician with a degree in medieval history and a flair for the macabre who takes a job at a crematory, turning morbid curiosity into her life’s work.

SNL star and host of the recent White House Correspondents’ Dinner as signed on to the film, co-written by McCarthy and her husband Ben Falcone, who is also directing. Kristen Bell, Kathy Bates and Peter Dinklage also star in the comedy, about a titan of industry sent to prison after she’s caught for insider trading. When she emerges ready to rebrand herself as America’s latest sweetheart, not everyone she screwed over is so quick to forgive and forget.

Jeff Daniels, who won an Emmy for
The Newsroom, has joined the two
Allegiant films, which will adapt the third and final book in the YA trilogy. As with many other such franchises, the book is being split into two movies. In
Allegiant Part 1 and
Part 2, Daniels will play David, the leader of the Bureau of Genetic Welfare, which originally created the various factions at the center of the story. The films will be released March 18th, 2016 and March 24th, 2017, respectively.

Director-star Ben Stiller confirmed the news via his Instagram account, in which he posted a picture of him and Bieber facing off with dueling Blue Steel looks. No word on what character Bieber will play, but he joins Still,er Owen Wilson, Christine Taylor, Penelope Cruz and Will Ferrell in the film, which is currently shooting.
