The Judge co-writer Bill Dubuque, it’s apparently a comedic drama that focuses on the intense world of three presidential debates, where millions of dollars and months of campaigning are whittled down to 270 minutes of extremely public political theatre. The assumption is that Downey is developing one of the roles for himself.

Studio is developing the dramedy, based on the upcoming Julie Murphy young adult novel. HarperCollins is scheduled to publish the Texas-set novel on September 15th. The novel centers on a confident, plus-sized teen — named Dumplin’ by her former beauty queen mom — who, when she begins to doubt herself, sets out to take back her confidence by doing the most horrifying thing she can imagine: entering a beauty pageant.

The legendary composer read the script for the Antoine Fuqua film, currently shooting in Louisiana, and wanted to surprise the director by scoring the movie based solely on the screenplay. Fuqua revealed the news during an interview with NPR. Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt star in the film, which will hit theaters in 2016.

The No. 2 theater chain’s board named CFO Craig Ramsey as interim CEO, and formed a Search Committee to find a permanent replacement for Lopez when he steps down on August 6th for “another opportunity.” Lopez led AMC through its 2012 acquisition by China’s Wanda Group and 2013 IPO, and drove its industry-changing initiative to rip out conventional seats in many venues and replace them with fewer plush recliners that come with higher ticket prices.

Elise McCredie is writing the script, which tells the story of Cornelia Rau, a German-Australian who was held in a South Australian detention center because it was believed that she was an illegal immigrant after she fled the notorious Sydney sect called the Kenja in 2005.

Side is set in a future where the moon is used as a penal colony. When an android goes on a murderous rampage, a down on his luck detective is sent in to investigate. Fox picked up the book by Anthony O’Neill late last year.
