Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Chabon is in talks to work on the comedy, and Oscar-winning composer Bret McKenzie will take a crack at the music. Tom Cruise has been circling the lead since late April, with director Michel Hazanavicius on board to direct the film, which centers on a regular guy who can suddenly hear the inner songs of everyone around him after he gets bonked on the head.

The Rosie Project, based on the book by Graham Simison. The book tells the story of professor Don Tillman, a genetics expert on the Asperger’s scale who never seems to be able to land a second date. He starts The Wife Project, working up a questionnaire to find the perfect partner, but is instead entranced by the free-spirited Rosie (Lawrence), who matches none of his criteria but might just be his soul mate.
