Paramount, Amy Pascal Land Hot Frankfurt Book Title ‘All Our Wrong Todays’

Pascal is attached to produce via Pascal Pictures, the new production banner she formed earlier this year, making the acquisition one of her first projects (and the first outside her first-look deal at Sony). Todays centers on a man from a utopian alternate universe who, through a time travel malfunction, winds up marooned in the real (and messy) 2015. He must decide if he wants to establish a life in this new world or head back to the one he came from. (HV)

There’s Another Lizzie Borden Project Moving Forward, This One With Chloe Savigny and Kristen Stewart

Sevigny would play the infamous 19th century Massachusetts woman who was accused, and acquitted, of killing her father and stepmother. Stewart is slated to play the family’s maid, Bridget Sullivan. Dutch director Pieter Van Hees is helming the film, which would cover the time leading up to the murders. No one was ever actually convicted of killing Andrew and Abby Borden. (BC)

Along the way, she becomes entangled in a mystery revolving around them. Janney will play a police detective. (VAR)

‘Guardians Of the Galaxy, Volume 2’ Just Cast an Unknown To Play a Major Mysterious Role

Sequel returns Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper as unlikely heroes who must team up in order to defeat an epic cosmic force. James Gunn is back as director and writer for the sequel, which is expected to start shooting in early 2016 for a May 5th, 2017 release date. (CS)

Thirty Years On, How ‘Just One Of the Guys’ Became an Unlikely Cult Hit

The movie almost never stood a chance at becoming a hit. In fact, according to the film’s co-writer Jeff Franklin, Just One of the Guys was only made because the studio was under fire for not having any female directors. Once released, it might have been forgotten had moviegoers not actually liked it. (UR)

Screenwriters: Movie Pitch Pro — The Right Pitch For Selling Your Screenplay

Like any industry, the film industry is driven by sales. It is the single most important process that determines the success of a film project. Even if you’re making an obscure little art film, you still have to sell your creation. From script to screen, making a film involves the pitching and selling of the creative over and over again. The process may start with selling your screenplay, but it doesn’t end there. (SM)
