Welcome to the future! October 21, 2015 is the date Marty McFly traveled to the future and it’s right around the corner. While we may not have flying cars or Jaw 19 in 3D, we do have a countless number of sequels in 3D and hoverboards (of a sort). If you’d like to see more of what the future holds, however, look no further than Ridley Scott’s upcoming film, The Martian, about a near-future Astronaut getting stranded on Mars. If you’d like to dig even deeper, though, check out the once annual Jet Propulsion Laboratory Open House going on October 10 with a life-size model of Mars Science Laboratory and the Microdevices Lab, where engineers and scientists use tiny technology to revolutionize space exploration. For the here and now, there’s MipCom, the anticipated global market for entertainment content across all platforms as well as the gigantic New York Comic-Con.
