James Cameron announces that he is pushing back the first
Avatar sequel to 2017, because the writing of the trilogy he had envisioned is much more complicated than he had originally envisioned. The plan is still to release one film per year, starting December 2017.

The fledgling new studio has signed a first-look deal with Rick and Julie Yorn’s LBI Entertainment. Robinov’s new operation is meant to produce up to six films annually for the global marketplace, and LBI will help them achieve that.

Transformers: Age Of Extinction leads all comers with seven nominations, but
Saving Christmas also gets hit, including a nod for Worst Screen Combo of Kirk Cameron and his ego. For the first time, the Razzies are handing out a “Redeemer” award for past winners who turned their career around.

Jason Blum’s Blumhouse will be producing the film, currently with the working title
Weirdo, which will also star Rebecca Hall. The two play a married couple who decide to breathe some life into their stale relationship with a fresh start in a new town. But their move takes them into the orbit of a friend from the past. Edgerton also wrote the script.
