The Texas state capital will be jam packed with film lovers for the next ten days as the SXSW Film Festival and Conference kicks off in Austin. As we head into the 2015 SXSW Film Fest, here’s a look at eight features that should be on your radar: They involve everything from tech giants, young love, female gamers, to funny women.

TODAY’S HEADLINES
Among the big news that came out today from Disney is that the Gareth Edwards standalone film is called
Rogue One, will star Felicity Jones, and will hit theaters December 16th, 2016, and
Star Wars Episode VIII will, as long rumored, be written and directed by Rian Johnson and will hit theaters on May 26, 2017. That’s 40 years and a day after the release of
Star Wars.

The head of story on Pixar’s upcoming
Inside Out will join Pete Docter to helm the highly anticipated fourth installment in the series. Earlier this week, it was announced that the film would not be connected to the original trilogy. Rashida Jones and Will McCormack are co-writing the new film, which will hit theaters in 2017.

Washington will also executive produce the telepic, called
Confirmation, which is about he explosive 1991 Clarence Thomas-Hill Supreme Court nomination hearings, which brought the country to a standstill and forever changed the way people think about sexual harassment, victims' rights and modern-day race relations. Susannah Grant is writing.

Show’s second season will feature new exec producers/showrunners, current co-exec producers Terry Matalas and Travis Fickett, who will be stepping in for Natalie Chaidez, as she preps for her upcoming Syfy series
Hunters. Matalas and Fickett also penned the
12 Monkeys pilot. The time travel thriller from Universal Cable Productions and Atlas Entertainment, who produced the original film, stars Aaron Stanford, Amanda Schull and Kirk Acevedo.

Mike and Molly are being brought back, to the surprise of no one.
Mom, starring Anna Faris and Emmy winner Allison Janney, will return for its third season, while
Mike and Molly, with Billy Gardell and Emmy winner Melissa McCarthy, will come back for its sixth.
Two Broke Girls will also be back for season three.
The Big Bang Theory,
NCIS: New Orleans,
Madame Secretary and
Scorpion have also been guaranteed a return next season.

Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, who directed the first film and also shared story credit (with Lee writing the screenplay) are returning to develop the film, and Josh Gad is confirmed to reprise the role of Olaf. There is no release date with this announcement, nor any real discussion of story. Basically, Disney is just saying that
Frozen 2 is being developed.
