UTA: Continuing with the CAA/UTA shake-up in which Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell and Ed Helms all followed their agents to UTA, Melissa McCarthy, Zach Galifianakis, Jonathan Krisel (EP of Baskets), Adam Pally (Happy Endings), Thomas Lennon and Ben Garant (Night at the Museum), Jermaine Clement and Bret McKenzie (creators, Flight of the Conchords), Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong (writers, Peep Show), Charlie Siskel (director of Finding Vivian Meier), James Bobin (director of several Muppets movies) will all follow their agents to UTA.
ICM: Jerry Seinfeld, Celine Dion, Daryl Hall, John Oates, John Hiatt, Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band, Rick Springfield and other musicians are following their agent Rob Prinz, previously of UTA to ICM Parnters where he’ll become partner.
WME: Alex Garland is now repped by WME. He previously scripted 28 Days Later and Sunshine and makes his feature directorial debut with Ex Machina releasing this Friday, April 10.
Random House: Patricia Arquette, who just won an Oscar for her role in Boyhood, is set to write about her life in a memoir for Random House. Susan Kamil, Publisher of Random House, will edit the book. Kamil announced the global rights deal with Arquette’s reps, Richard Abate of 3 Arts Entertainment and Joseph Veltre of Gersh.
Emmanuel Bates Communications: Director of Photography Peter Wunstorf, ASC (Midnight Sun), Thomas Scott Stanton (Take me to the River), Kolja Brandt (Hector and the Search for Happiness), Bryan Newman have signed with Meredith Emmanuel for their publicity representation. She also recently signed production designer Dara Wishingrad (Advantageous), Mikael Varhelyi, and editor Tad Dennis (Parenthood)
