After three seasons on broadcast television, the sitcom as been canceled by Fox, but the online streaming service is now in talks with Universal Television, the studio behind the Mindy Kaling-starrer, to move the Fox comedy over to the streaming service for multiple seasons. The deal would reportedly include two new seasons, and possibly more.

Cable net has picked up its flagship drama series for a 10-episode fourth season to air in 2016. The news comes ahead of the show’s third season finale on June 20th. The show earned a Peabody Award in 2014 and lead actress Tatiana Maslany has received two Critics’ Choice Awards for Best Actress, a TCA Award for Individual Achievement, and Golden Globe, SAG and People’s Choice nominations.

Network has officially given the green light to the first season of the show, set to star Melissa Benoist in the title role. The precise number of episodes has not yet been revealed, but the pilot is expected to debut on the network later this year. The pilot episode was written by Ali Adler and Greg Berlanti. They will also executive produce along with Sarah Schechter and Warner Bros. TV.

Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson have sold an untitled comedy project to Fox. Feig, who knows a thing or two about funny women, having helped break the film careers of Melissa McCarthy and Kirsten Wiig, is attached to produce with his Feigco partner Jessie Henderson. Glazer and Jacobson are not attached to star, and Feig is not attached to direct. Plot details are under wraps.

Witherspoon’s Pacific Standard shingle, which she runs with partner Bruna Papandrea, is reportedly developing a film adaptation of the S.J. Watson novel
Second Life. This will be the fourth film project released from three-year-old production house. Story centers on a woman who creates an online persona in an effort to learn more about her sister’s violent death. Unfortunately, she begins to get caught up in the web of lies that she creates.

But when his fictional novel about the life of an international assassin is published as true story, he’s mistaken for a real hired killer and becomes something of a celebrity.
