Martin Casella penned the screenplay for this '60s set tale that follows a struggling nightclub performer hoping to make it big with his stage act involving circus animals. He is forced to reconnect with his estranged 12-year old son, Tom, when his ex-wife departs on a three week trip, leaving the pair to rekindle their father-son relationship. Based on a 2014 Black List script, the story follows a hospital caregiver with ulterior motives (to be played by Foxx) who is assigned to look after the mysterious victim of a bank robbery. Hernany Perla wrote the script and Noam Murro will direct. Production is expected to begin this fall with William Green and Aaron Ginsburg of Atlas Entertainment producing.

Stephen Root has joined the cast of the comedy, which also stars Adam Devine, Aubrey Plaza and Anna Kendrick in a film about two hard-partying brothers who place an ad online to find dates for a wedding and find a pair of women who can out-party them. Jake Szymanski will direct, with Chernin Entertainment producing along with Jonathan Levine. Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien wrote the script.

T.R. Knight, best known for his work on the first few seasons of
Grey’s Anatomy, has signed on to play Johnny Clayton, a "charismatic but controlling" salesman who can't break up with his estranged wife Sadie Dunill, who is in love with main character Jake Epping. James Franco is playing Epping, while Sarah Gadon will play Sadie in the adaptation of the Stephen King novel.

Rubén Blades has landed a role in the AMC horror drama, which is currently filming. He is set to play Daniel, the father of Ofelia, a similarly under-described character to be portrayed by Mercedes Mason. Cliff Curtis and Kim Dickens will lead the
Walking Dead spinoff. The show is set to premiere some time later this year, probably in the summer, but no set date has been announced.
