Hall will helm the PTSD drama
Thank You For Your Service, the big-screen adaptation of David Finkel’s non-fiction book that focuses on veterans returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Hall also adapted the script for DreamWorks, which acquired the rights to the unpublished story back in May of 2013.

The Trial after a deal could not be made. Now, the project is going back to square one to find a "huge star" for its leading man. The drama is still expected to go straight to series once that leading man is found, a point that Costner signing on would have guaranteed.

Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson and Jason Sudeikis are also in talks for the ensemble film that Marshall is set to direct from a script by Anya Kochoff-Romano and Lily Hollander. The pic tells intertwining stories about the lives of several mothers as the title holiday approaches. It is the latest in Marshall’s holiday movie series that began with
New Year’s Eve and
Valentine’s Day. No studio is yet attached to the project, but CAA is taking the package to buyers.

Legendary-Universal's King Kong origins movie is set to open on March 10th, 2017. The studio and Legendary unveiled
Skull Island during last year’s Comic-Con. They announced in September that Tom Hiddleston was on board to star, with Jordan Vogt-Roberts directing. Production is expected to start later this year. John Gatins and Max Borenstein wrote the script, about a team of explorers who venture deep inside the primordial island that is King Kong’s home.

Anthony Mackie will be portraying the icon opposite Bryan Cranston’s Lyndon Baines Johnson. Jay Roach is directing the TV movie for HBO, working from playwright Robert Schenkkan’s own adaptation. Story follows LBJ after the assassination of JFK rockets him into the Oval Office, he has to push through ground breaking Civil Rights legislation while also battling to win re-election. It was, all told, a tough first year for him, capped by success at the polls.

Series originally cast one actor, Stark Sands, to play precog twins Dash and Arthur, but now he network has shaken things up by adding Nick Zano as a series regular to play Arthur. Sands will continue to play Dash. This also means that parts of the pilot will have to be reshot. The network has the show scheduled for Monday nights in the fall.

Party Of Five alum is joining the Emmy-winning show as a series regular. While details about her character are being kept under wraps, the next season will find power couple Frank and Claire Underwood headed into an election. There has been speculation that the fourth season would be the show’s last, but no word on that yet, one way or another. The next season will premiere in 2016.

According to Tivo's second annual binge-viewing report, 92% of 12,500 TiVo subscribers surveyed said they have engaged in the practice, which TiVo defines as consuming three or more episodes of a single TV show in one sitting. And while the sheer prevalence of bingers suggests that gorging on content is the new norm, it also appears to be a somewhat solitary pursuit, as 53% of respondents said they do not binge in the company of others.

Rocky spinoff, staring Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone, reprising his signature role. Directed by Ryan Coogler, the movie hits theaters November 25th.
