UTA: Actress Kiersey Clemons who starred in the Sundance Film Festival hit Dope has signed up with UTA. In addition to the indie Dope, which has sinced grossed $11 million, she also has a recurring role on Amazon’s Transparent and she can next be seen alongside Halle Berry in CBS’ new season of Extant. Clemons continues to be managed by Starr Andreeff of MJMG and Eddie Galan of Mach 1 Management.
CAA: HBO Silicon Valley actor Martin Starr has shifted from UTA to CAA. Before Silicon Valley he was cast in Freaks and Geeks and Veronica Mars. He recently appeared in the indie film that opened at Sundance, I’ll See You in My Dreams alongside Blythe Danner. He’s also currently cast in a feature version of the TV show Party Down, in active development, with Lizzy Caplan and Ken Marino attached among others. Starr will continue to be repped by Ben Feigin at Anonymous Content and attorney David Krintzman at Morris Yorn.
UTA & Management 360: Actor Harry Hamlin has changed up his representation. He leaves Paradigm for UTA and has shifted from Luber Roklin Management to Management 360. He will remain with Pinnacle Public Relations. He most recently was seen on Law & Order SVU as Deputy Chief Charles Patton and just completed arcs on Shameless, Rush and Glee. On the feature side he wrapped Bleeding Heart starring Jessica Biel.
CAA: Actress Jaina Lee Ortiz has landed her first agency representation and it’s at CAA. She was cast as a series regular on Chris Carter’s Amazon pilot The After and can next be seen in Rosewood, premiering this fall on FOX paired with returning hit show, Empire. On Rosewood, Ortiz will play Karissa Villa, a former NYPD detective who ends up teaming up Dr. Rosewood, a gifted pathologist. She will continue to be repped by Link Entertainment and attorney Lev Ginsburg at Ginsburg Daniels. CAA: YouTube's “King of Music Video Parodies" Bart Baker has signed with the agency for representation in all areas. His channel, a member of the Maker Studios MCN since 2011 has racked up more than six miillion subscribers and 1.6 billion views. He recently launched a channel on Vessel in addition to his Instagram (675k followers), Vine (315k), Twitter (219k) and Facebook (325k). In December he started hosting the talk/game/clip show CrashPad, co-produced by Maker Studios and Drama 3/4, with videos provided by Jukin Media.
