Relativity Media’s troubles continue to mount and the company struggles financially to make ends meet. CEO Kavanaugh has not only just been sued by vendor RKA, but now there is news that Catalyst Capital has sold off a significant portion of its purchase of loan-term interest to a group of hedge fund managers. Meanwhile, Kavanaugh came out with a strong statement against the lawsuit, saying they have no claim.

One project on Lawrence’s radar is
Red Sparrow, a spy thriller that previously had Darren Aronofsky and then David Fincher circling. He is reportedly eyeing the Jason Matthews adaptation, which has a script by
American Hustle‘s Eric Warren Singer. The thriller follows two intelligence agents in modern-day Russia who start to fall in love, putting themselves and everyone around them at risk.

Studio has screenwriters Damian Shannon and Mark Swift working on the script for the film. There is no director attached just yet, but Tripp Vinson, who recently played a part in the production on
San Andreas, is serving as one of the new project's producers. At this time there aren't any plot details available, though the idea is to have Genie set up what would become a specific live-action remake of Aladdin.

The Jean Marc Vallee-directed drama about an investment banker who spirals out of control following the tragic death of his wife and forms a bond with an unconventional pot-smoking single mother will now open on April 8th, 2016. Naomi Watts also stars in the film, as do Chris Cooper, Heather Lind, and newcomer Judah Lewis.

In 1992, Israel fell on hard times and began selling letters that she had forged from deceased writers and actors, and turned to stealing the actual letters from library archives and selling them when people got suspicious. Shooting was scheduled to begin next week.

Michael Ironside joins the cast as the father of Captain Cold and his sister, Golden Glider, played by Wentworth Miller and Peyton List, respectively. The character has previously been described as a corrupt cop who abused his kids until he was arrested. Ironside will first appear in the upcoming second season’s third episode, known as ‘Family Of Rogues.”

Universal has released the first trailer from its upcoming comedy starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, about a pair of adult sisters who throw a raging party in the house they grew up in before their parents sell it. James Brolin, Dianne Wiest, Ike Barinholtz, Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon and John Leguizamo also star. The film opens December 18th as
Star Wars counter-programming.

The FX network has come out with several new teaser trailers for Season Two of its Emmy-winning crime anthology series. Set in 1979, the new season will follow some of the same characters from the first season, only 35 years earlier. Patrick Wilson, Ted Danson, Jean Smart, Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemmons, Brad Garrett, Nick Offerman, Bokeem Woodbine, Jeffrey Donovan and Kieran Culkin, and premieres in September.
