Jeff Robinov’s Fosun-backed Studio 8, together with Chinese distribution company Bona Film Group, have become partners with Tom Rothman’s Sony shingle and Film4 on the adaptation of Ben Fountain’s acclaimed novel. Sony will release the film worldwide, except for Greater China, which Bona Film Group Ltd will handle.

The pay-cable network announced Tuesday that it's renewed Mark and Jay Duplass' freshman comedy for another season in 2016. Starring Melanie Lynskey, Amanda Peet, Steve Zissis and Mark, the half-hour show has been a passion project for the busy brothers since they first started developing it at the network two years ago. The pair wrote and directed each of the first season's 10 episodes.

Darkmouth, an upcoming series of comedic fantasy-adventure novels written by Irish author Shane Hegarty. HarperCollins Children’s Books will publish the debut novel,
Darkmouth #1: The Legends Begin, in the UK, Ireland and Australia at the end of the month and in the U.S. in April.
